In my classes, I believe in a communicative and interactive approach. Each lesson typically lasts 60 minutes (although they may last longer) and is structured as follows:

• Warm-Up (10 minutes): We start with a brief conversation or a fun activity to get everyone speaking Spanish right away. This could be a quick game, a question of the day, or a short video clip.
• Core Lesson (30 minutes): Each session focuses on a specific theme or grammar point, such as ordering food, describing daily routines, or discussing hobbies. I use a mix of authentic materials like videos, and articles, which makes the learning experience relevant and engaging.
• Practice Activities (15 minutes): You will take part in independent practice, such as role-plays and discussions, to reinforce what you have learnt. This helps to consolidate vocabulary and grammar in a practical context.
• Wrap-Up (5 minutes): I conclude each lesson with a summary and set goals for the next class.
I also assign a brief homework task, which could include practicing vocabulary or completing a simple writing exercise.
My lessons are designed to cater to various learning styles. Whether you’re a visual learner who enjoys reading and writing or an auditory learner who benefits from listening and speaking, there’s something for everyone. I cover essential vocabulary, grammar, and cultural insights, allowing students to understand not just the language but also the rich traditions of Spanish-speaking countries.
My teaching philosophy centers around creating a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them. I believe that language learning should be fun, and I strive to make each lesson engaging and meaningful. If you’re looking for a dynamic and interactive way to learn Spanish, I’d love to have you in my class. Together, we’ll explore the language and culture, building your confidence and fluency along the way. ¡Espero verte pronto! (I hope to see you soon!)
