I've attained an A at A level maths, and am currently in my final year of my Physics and maths degree. Currently I'm learning about fluid mechanics, a very applied branch of mathematics.

My teaching style is geared towards chunking. I believe maths is a subject that expands outwards, meaning it's important to understand the material properly before moving onto the next topic. To that end, I try to look at the subject material with an overall view and identity a pathway to proficiency by creating chunks or checkpoints for us to pass through. Usually I would do this myself, but I now use GPT (yes, AI is brilliant for learning!) to help do this.

Once this is done we have to learn the material. We can't really cram maths like we can with some other subjects, so instead we'll start by finding areas of weakness. We do this by mini tests on what we know to start and regularly test this knowledge to get an idea of how we're progressing.
