I trained as a chemist for my undergraduate studies during which time I covered a whole lot of chemistry tutorial classes for my classmates and students in lower levels to mine at the university. I also tutored students preparing to write their A-level and GCSE exams in organic chemistry classes and other major topic sections in chemistry. I like to use simplified illustrations and detailed explanations to convey complex concepts in my class notes to help the student easily grasp these concepts and retain as much information as possible from my classes. I would often ask questions during my classes to ensure the student is keeping up and assimilating the contents of my teaching. I always utilise notes tailored to the unique learning requirements of each student.
My classes are often very detailed and I always ensure I go through the entire content per class session in record time. I also endeavour to set short and rapid test sessions at the middle and the end of my class sessions which I evaluate in each class in order to provide timely assessment and feedback to each student. I would typically develop teaching notes from the designated textbook being used by the school authorities of my tutees. In addition, I provide specialised maths support in areas of chemistry requiring seamlessly complex calculations. This is to ensure that my tutees are well-rounded and can excel on class tests and examinations with flying colours. I also take constructive feedback from my tutees in order to further improve my tutoring outcomes.
