Yimeng Xu

I taught English as second language (ESL) to teenagers in China in 2023, ranging from 1-1 tutorials to public classrooms. I have received positive feedback from my tutors for my understanding of student-teacher interactions. Parents and students like me for I helped to improve their grades and find confidence in learning English. Apart from ESL, I am also a native mandarin speaker, so if you want to more about Chinese/ mandarin or you are simply interested in Chinese culture, I am the teacher for you.

Here is my teaching style: As a responsible teacher, I like to make detailed plans before attending class, since this prepared me well with students and pedagogical contents. But I don’t like to be rigid like passively inputting knowledge into student’s head. Instead, I enjoy every question raised by students and seek those opportunities to teach skills or knowledge to them. I believe the interactions between students and me can make the class energetic and eventually help them learn. So if you have questions in English and mandarin learning or you like to embrace learning in a relaxing, interactive vibe, I am the teacher you need.
