I have graduated from Computer Education and Instructional Technologies and after graduation I started to teach online. I teach different areas of topics but mainly focused on my own area of expertise.
I use different types of methods where the students from all ages can feel comfortable to learn, not feel overwhelmed or bored during the sessions. Programming, or in fact, IT areas in general can be very much technical especially when you start to learn from the beginning. As I am aware of this situation, I am skilled in multiple teaching methods where I try to apply to the person's learning speed, capacity and abilities so that we can have the best productivity during the classes.
Before we start the private lessons program with a student, I prefer to make a quick quiz where I can understand the level of expertise of the person and a little of point of view to the subject so I can prepare the best learning plan with the best method to the student.
During the classes, I prefer to use pomodoro technique where I have seen the results as it increased majorly on the student's activity. I prefer to use Pomodoro as 40-10 when 40 minutes is going to be learning and 10 minutes of break after that. In the end of every session, I also arrange practices for the students to practice what has been learned on that class and also at the beginning of the next session, I prefer to make follow-ups so that we can be sure everything is settled and we can move on based on the previous information that the student has.
