I like to encounter and understand how my students learn. I also like to get to know my students as a person which helps me manage on how the lessons should be. Based on that i then organise my lessons on what would be best for the student and how the student would learn more, or what would keep the student engaged in the lessons as well as in their own time.

I do like to set goals and targets for the students which works . There’s students that prefer to learn through books and there’s students that are visual learners and learn through videos or songs. Every person is different and what might work for one might not work for another person, therefore I like to keep different dynamics and methods for each student which they benefit for more and as a private tutor helps me to also understand students needs and makes me happy knowing that the students are learning and engaging and aren’t bored throughout the learning journey.
By doing this method which has worked for me, it has kept students engaged making a good amount of progress as well as making the lessons productive and fun to the students.
I also like to do recaps of previous lessons for the students at the beginning of each session to see progress and see if the students remember what they were taught as well or keeping in practice.
Let’s not forget homework! Although most students don’t like homework, I try set few or fun tasks for each student based on the lesson to make sure the student is using the language as well as keeping track.
