Introduce new topic
- 1 hour
- Look at theory, research, evaluation
- Create diagrams to break down certain ideas (use lots of colour to emphasise key words/concepts)

Practice (20-30 mins)
- Active recall of notes
- Attempt exam-style questions (these will range from MCQ, short answer questions to questions with a larger amount of marks)

Questions (10-15 mins)
- Discuss any areas of confusion
- Revisit difficult concepts

Wrap up (5-10 mins)
- Summarise key ideas
- Assign homework e.g. create consolidation for topic learnt in the lesson, write up exam-style answers to practice questions (range from short answer questions to essay-style questions e.g marks)
- Briefly introduce topic for next lesson (if applicable)

During our lesson, I will always be open to questions. Don’t feel shy or embarrassed at any point, I’m here to help! Remember, I was in your position once and I’m also currently a student studying Psychology, so we’re in this together!

I always find that being able to relate certain concepts to real-life scenarios helps with understanding and remembering key ideas, so focusing on that too can be important!

Especially at A-Level, evaluation and discussing issues and debates is so important in Psychology, it’s what will bump up your marks so we will always set aside time to really master that in order to get you the best grade possible!
