I prefer to teach proactively and in a relaxed sort of way. I like to think of it as ‘going for a coffee with a friend’. If you’d prefer a more regimented way of learning, my lessons are easily adaptable!
I will always provide homework to keep your brain occupied until our next lesson.
I have a qualification in English language and write short stories and poetry in my spare time. A creative mind is never boring!
In our first lesson I will determine your level of English by setting you a task to do online/in person. This will not only be a chance to get to know each other but I will then be able to create a lesson plan for you.
Depending on your age/level I will assign you a book. Preferably a penguin classic (age secondary and up) and every week as part of the lesson we will go over and analyse a part of it.
Please let me know what you are hoping to achieve in your lessons, I would be more than happy to help/adapt to your needs.
I find it very rewarding to teach a new skill and I think it’s joyous to see a student reach their full English speaking ability. I think it’s important in any country that you live or visit to make some effort with the language. Whether it be basic words or attempting to speak fluently for the duration of your time there.
Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions :) Yasmin
