In my English as a foreign language lessons, I strive to create a productive and engaging learning experience for my students. Here's what you can expect from my lessons:

Student-Centric Approach: My primary goal is to empower my students to actively participate and communicate in English. I believe in the importance of students speaking more than the teacher, as it enhances language acquisition.

Interactive Start: Each lesson typically begins with a lively and enjoyable starter activity, often a quick game or an engaging conversation starter. This helps set a positive tone for the lesson and gets students involved from the start.

Individualised Learning: I understand that every student has unique goals and varying levels of English proficiency. Therefore, I kick off our journey with an introductory lesson focused on getting to know the student's objectives and assessing their current English skills. This initial assessment is crucial in tailoring subsequent lessons to match the student's ability and targets.

Lesson Planning: Following the initial assessment, I carefully plan lessons to align with the student's specific needs and learning goals. Whether it's grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, or fluency, my lessons are designed to address these areas effectively.

Quick Plenary: At the end of each lesson, we wrap up with a quick plenary session. During this time, we reflect on what was learned, discuss any difficulties encountered, and identify areas the student would like to focus on in the next lesson. This reflection process ensures that each lesson is purposeful and helps the student stay on track with their learning journey.

My extensive teaching experience, which includes instructing students of various ages and backgrounds, has equipped me with the skills to adapt to different learning styles and needs. I am committed to providing a dynamic and enriching learning environment that fosters language development and confidence in my students.

Yashica is an excellent teacher, in this case of a Y7 child who had no English at all but now is speaking quite well and conversing naturally. She makes every lesson fun and enjoyable but very effective. Every lesson is different and she uses different techniques and activities. I really recommend her as an English teacher.
