Hi! My name is Yash, and I love maths. I understand how challenging GCSE and A-level Maths can be, not just memorising facts but also applying the correct material to questions, so I'm here to help you with that.
Being a strong leader ensures I can guide every lesson appropriately so that every student can gain as much as they can from every lesson. Problem-solving is just as crucial - understanding what keeps a pupil from achieving 100% means I can produce various solutions to help them progress, e.g. through extra practice worksheets for homework or by explaining different techniques.
Having mentored students over several years, I have learnt that students may use completely different methods to tackle problems. Understanding students' unique learning styles helps me maximise outputs by developing effective teaching strategies using interesting and personalised lesson plans.
Also, I love maths! I have a genuine passion for Mathematics, which means I understand the content and syllabus really well, and I can teach it to students in a way that they understand fully. I have a very personalised teaching method, allowing students to get the most out of every lesson.
I embrace a student-centered approach that fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for learning. My teaching style is adaptive and inclusive, aiming to meet the unique needs of each learner. I believe in:
- Interactive Learning: Engaging students through discussion & hands-on activities.
- Personalized Instruction: Tailoring lessons to individual learning styles and goals.
- Constructive Feedback: Providing timely and constructive feedback to encourage growth.
- Technology Integration: Utilizing technology to enhance learning experiences.
- Continuous Improvement: Committing to educational development of all students to allow them to excel both academically and in their professional career.
During the lesson, I will spend some time explaining the theory and methods behind each concept, why it works, identifying when to use it and tricks to better understand it and answer questions faster under timed conditions. Then we walk through past questions for practical application examples, and they are given independent, supervised work, which is marked and feedback given. Homework is optional.
