I have been teaching English for five years. I started teaching English in an elementary-level class during my University years. After graduation, I worked with Intermediate and advance level learners of English. The groups that I worked with included High School students, young learners and adults. I am currently working with adult learners for corporate English.
I have always wanted to be a teacher to educate people and lead them to their paths in the most convenient way. I want them to find their solutions during the process. I am into Multiple Intelligences and English as Lingua Franca thus, I care a lot about my student profile individually. Moreover, I love them exploring their own English since it helps them to feel free and confident while speaking English.
I start my education process with a warm Introductory lesson. I use Icebreakers activities such as talking about yourself by using the initial letters of your name. I pay attention to form classroom for both their and my good during the process. I want them to talk as much as possible and make gentle error corrections. For instance, if a student mispronounces a word then I repeat his sentence by pronouncing the word in the right way and making a rising intonation to the problematic structure. I use listening, speaking, reading and writing activities. I use sourcebooks and some coursebooks of Cambridge University Press accordingly to the student's CEFR level. I also benefit from some websites such as British Council and YouTube. Thus I can support my Lingua Franca atmosphere with world Englishes.
