Hi, this is Yamon! I am in my second year studying biochemistry at UCL. At A level, I have achieved A* in all three subjects I have taken (Biology, chemistry and maths) and full UMS marks in chemistry. My course also covers a lot of the content from biology and chemistry (surprise, surprise!), so I have a good grip of the subjects.
My passion for teaching began from my A level teachers, who helped me through the tough times when my grades were not as good as they should have been. What made them so special is that they pushed me to think outside the box and to enjoy the subject. This is what I aim to do with my teaching.
Currently, I give free Japanese lessons to students that are part of Japan Society, which I try to make as interactive and enjoyable as possible. My priority is to make sure you feel comfortable, so I will start the lesson off with casual conversation before moving into the content.
On a side note, my family lives on a farm and makes cider in Japan, so anyone interested in agriculture I am the person to talk to.
