My lessons are fun, whilst being informative. I generally like to organise my lesson into 4 main categories: starter, content revision, past paper practice, and then a plenary task. I can, and will, change each lesson plan for each student once I get to know them better. In the starter, I like to recap what we covered in the previous lesson, usually in the form of an exam-style question based on your current learning level/ grade. As the main part of the lesson I like to teach any topics that the student is unsure of and I aim to do this via example and getting the student's input. Following this, I help and encourage the student to complete a wide variety of exam-style questions at different difficulty levels. If the student is stuck or unsure of what to do, before giving them the answer, I try to help by giving them a small clue as to what to do next. Once the student has completed the question, I then reveal the answer. If it is correct, we move on to the next question. If it is incorrect, we work together to find the correct solution. Finally, I prefer to end the lesson with any further questions and a final question, consolidating the learning from the whole lesson. This may be done in the form of a past exam question, or a question I made myself. I do not set any regular homework, however it can be set weekly or bi-weekly upon request from the parent/ guardian.
