Background: I have lived half of my life in Korea and another half in Canada. I have experiences of teaching Korean (conversation, reading, writing, SAT and culture) professionally to kids and teenagers over ten years and casually to my friends and coworkers. Although I'm currently working full-time, I want to spend my spare time sharing my skills in teaching Korean language and Korean culture to people who are interested in. Hope you get a chance to learn a lot more about Korea and Korean language while having fun with the patient and friendly teacher!

Educational Background: Degree(s) and completed "Translation and Interpretation for Business (Korean-English) from University of British Columbia. As a native speaker, I have more than 10 years experience to teach Korean in one to one and class setting, from children to adult professionals. My teaching approach is focused on how to make it easy for English speakers to read and write in Korean as soon as possible.

Professional Experience: Upon graduation, I have served as a translator and an interpreter at an immigration consulting firm. I found that my professional experience as an interpreter provided me with a broad view that is useful in assisting students with projects and assignments. These experiences have built my confidence and an interest in teaching. I have been working as a language teacher instructor; school teacher at various levels and locations (private school; government related language learning centre); TOPIK. I also offer English-Korean translation/interpretation service.

Teaching & Other Details: I can provide students with various learning methods including content based learning and immersion style of learning Korean that have proven successful. My teaching motto is to encourage students to have fun with learning for positive results.
