I have developed a range of skills that meet and exceed expectations. I am a Ph.D. student with fruitful years of teaching experience. Aside from handling primary and high school maths, I taught college students statistics and research on higher education. I have always prepared my students for the real world through problem-solving and Inquiry-Based Learning. I have also exposed my students to different applications of mathematics in various courses. Engaging in activities would make learning more meaningful and productive.
I build students' confidence in maths and encourage them to master the different areas of the course. I provide intensive remediation and support for students with educational needs. On the other hand, I trained high school students in mathematics competitions and challenges—effective reinforcement for advanced learners.
My students follow a classroom routine and are oriented to classroom expectations. We started with warm-up activities and observed proper learning dispositions such as concentration and independence. I expect all my students to be participative and collaborative during class discussions and work independently during written assessments. I always provide a detailed explanation and examples to understand the lesson better. I believe students can learn Mathematics through excessive exercise and constant practice. It will help them master the skill confidently.
Lastly, I teach the students the values of perseverance and determination. I allow them to be competitive and inspired to discover Maths's beauty. I have always believed that every child has potential and has a different way of learning things. They are unique, and they have different intelligence.
