I design my lesson according to students' level. For beginners, I will pay particular attention to their pronunciation and handwriting skills. I start with some common Chinese characters, teaching them how to recognise them, their meanings, how to pronounce them and how to write them. For intermediate level, I design some context-based dialogue, and do the role play with students. In this process, I will teach them the utterances that are appropriate in these contexts. For advanced learners, I will guide them to appreciate some Chinese articles and poems; through close text reading, I make it accessible to students the knowledge about Chinese grammar, and the internal logic of these article.
