I have been teaching Chinese (Mandarin) to students of all levels for 10 years. I make my lessons fun, engaging and relevant to the needs and situation of my students. I'm also not afraid to push someone to help them improve!

I can adapt my lessons to fit the requirements of my students - if they want to learn the basics, focus on grammar or just build their conversational skills, I can provide a series of lessons to achieve these goals. In our first lesson, I will ask a series of questions to get an idea of what you want to get out of our lessons and then build a scheme of work that will make your goals a reality! I will share all presentations created to help you review and practice.

My general classes focus on all four main skills - speaking, listening, reading and writing (as well as grammar) - but I can focus on one or more specific areas if that is what you require. For example, if you are purely in need of learning conversational Chinese I can create lessons that focus entirely on speaking and listening that will take a more conversational approach.

I have a Masters' in teaching Chinese as a Second Language and have helped students as young as five-years-old begin to understand pinyin as well as helping adults successfully prepare for their HSK tests. I have taught over 100 students in my career and have always received positive feedback. I hope that you can be the next person I help on your Chinese journey!
