Xian Jin Tan

As an university undergraduate student, I definitely understand and experienced how boring and ineffective classes can be. Therefore, my classes will be anything but! I like to host fun and interactive lessons to maximize students' focus on the lessons. I value curiosity and desire for knowledge. Therefore, I will always prepare a QnA space where students can ask their questions freely. This is to ensure a two-way communication is established. I like using illustrations and stories to deliver my content. I also understand how important a conducive learning environment is. So, I love to set the mood and tone of the lesson of the day. Do anticipate the various themes of my classes, and feel free to suggest some of your favorites too! Furthermore, be prepared for some surprises too, as I will drop some quizzes, competitions, and mystery gifts from time to time! Make sure to stay on your toes :D

Treat me as your friend, your study buddy, your guide. Unlike traditional lectures I will not be blindly feeding you knowledge. I won't want you to sit through a boring lecture after all! I will make sure that as my student, you will get your fair share of opportunities to practice and implement the knowledge you have received from me. I also welcome my students to challenge me should the need arise. We are humans and our journey of learning is never-ending. Through healthy debates, we come out stronger and wiser. We will all be winners!
