As someone relatively new to the process of teaching online (I have experience putting on extra curricular music activities when I worked within the schooling systems) we will be working together to figure out the level you are at, and then diving head first into Ableton to go over the basics. The content will be specifically for the basics of sound design and creative processing of audio, to basic song arrangement and structure, we will structure the sessions around the interests of the students after an initial session of figuring out the level of the student, and then after going over some basic parameters within Ableton, we will be looking to dive straight into some basics of sound design. We will be using stock Ableton plugins, to allow any students to follow along by simply downloading the 90 day free trial of Ableton, this means that the students won't have to pay for any equipment and can use their free trial of Ableton and the plugins available to them during these studies.
we will be specifically adhering to the basics of sound design within the context of Ableton, but if the student is enthusiastic about the basics of song structure then we can branch into that also. The important thing is that the student has input in to what they want to learn so we can tailor accordingly.
