I will be using replit in order to teach my students. This is an online IDE which allows for people to collaborate together, which means I can be in the same repl project as my student. I will be using replit in order to teach my students. This is an online IDE which allows for people to collaborate together, which means I can be in the same repl project as my student. This would allow for the student to get help easier with the code and allow me to demonstrate the correct coding practices in a live environment.
For my lessons, I will have a small recap/intro session at the start of the lesson to get an idea of the student’s understanding of the topic. This will then lead to the main part of the lesson where I teach the student the programming concept and give them exercises to complete so that I know that they have fully understood the topic. At the end of the lesson, I may do another small recap going over the content that the student just learnt, or I will set a challenge exercise to test and challenge the student.
I have about 4-5 years in using Python and used it in both my GCSEs and A-Levels in which I received the highest grade possible. I have made a few web applications using Python which has given me a firm grasp of the core concepts of Python including Object Orientated Programming. I now study Computer Science at the University of Warwick where I am using Python in my web development module.
I have some tutoring experience and I am confident that I am able to present concepts in an easy-to-understand manner so that the students will be able to grasp the concept quicker and advance onto more difficult topics.
