I have a very adaptable teaching style and like to listen to the needs of each individual student. Having assessed the requirements I try to use a variety of resources to keep the student stimulated throughout a session. This can include video learning with visual stimuli, examples from textbooks and learning guides as well as citing real world uses of the things being taught - enabling the student to see the purpose of what is being taught. With students working towards external examinations such as GCSEs, a consistently used resource will be the exam board's mark scheme so that there can be a clear focus on what is needed to pick up marks. I have the experience of over a year of tutoring to aid me in knowing how to tailor each teaching experience. I also have the beneficial experience of a great deal of personal revision collected over the years, which contributed to all of my GCSEs being A* or equivalent as well as three A levels at A or higher. I learned which textbooks and educational videos are the best and, most importantly, that a distinct focus on the mark scheme is paramount.
