I will be using a laptop and would conduct my lessons via Microsoft Teams and have full use of a microphone and a camera. The exact content of the classes would depend on your existing knowledge of the English language and could cover anything from introducing yourself and describing your family to being able to write complex sentences in English. Before the lessons commence, we would have an interview so that your understanding of the language could be gauged so that I can plan your lessons around what you already know.

A little bit about me. I am a native speaker of English and I have lived in the UK for 20 years and can speak and read English to a very high degree. I read frequently and I passed both my English Literature and Language subjects at GCSE level and I now study law, which also requires a high standard of writing and reading ability.

I have tutored students on reading and writing before but this will be my first professional post but I am confident I will be able to teach English effectively. I will work with my students to develop a learning plan so that I am teaching them at a pace they are comfortable with and I will plan my lessons around what the student wishes to know. Most importantly though, I will always be honest with my students and progress slowly with them so that they can enjoy a deep understanding of a very widely spoken and beautiful language.
