As a current student myself, I know what it is like to face the pressures of an academic environment. It can be overwhelming to manage your free time and it can be hard to create a balance between personal comfort and academic obligations. This feeling can also be compounded by expectations of your teachers, family, friends, and self-conscience. Tutoring can be a great way of guiding a student to reach the goals that are within their grasp and beyond. As I know all too well, it can be difficult to hold oneself accountable even if what is needed to be done is known (which is rarely the case). A solution to this is to form a relationship with someone who can keep you accountable. What better person can help to keep a student on track than somebody who has successfully walked this path? My name is Will Henderson and I am entering my third year at Vanderbilt University where I am studying Computer Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Management. I went to a state academy and sixth-form college in Cheshire where I achieved exceptional grades. After college, I began to look at universities and ultimately decided that Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee was the best fit for me. Two years later, I can view the past with insightful reflection. This unique experience might also be beneficial to a student who is interested in learning more about the typical application process or the experience as an undergraduate student in the United States. I consider myself to be patient, understanding, and friendly and I can approach most problems with an optimistic attitude and an appreciation for the bigger picture (what really matters).

My strengths: empathy / flexibility / recent GCSE/A-Level graduate / current university student / international experiences.
