I am very engaged and want to get you playing and listening as much as possible - I will tailor it around you and what you want to learn. You do not need to read music, I can teach fluent readers as well as people who don't know how to read music.
I will provide musical context and ideas around how music is written and performed drawing on my experience of Classical, Pop and Jazz music as well as my ethnomusicological background. Depending on what you want to learn I will provide you with material, music exercises if desired, as well as further listening. I will also often play with you to encourage ensemble playing and develop the skills needed to keep time with other musicians.
