About me

I was a secondary school teacher for 12 years, teaching Music and Maths from key stage 3 to A-level (including Further Maths A-level) and tutoring occasionally during that time with students aged 7 to 70-something! I now have two young children and tutoring is currently my main focus whilst I take a break from the classroom to spend more time with them.

I was a secondary school teacher for 12 years, teaching Music and Maths from key stage 3 to A-level (including Further Maths A-level) and tutoring occasionally during that time with students aged 7 to 70-something! I now have two young children and tutoring is currently my main focus whilst I take a break from the classroom to spend more time with them.

As well as my private work, I tutor with Axiom Maths (a charity developing promising mathematicians from diverse backgrounds) and A* Learning Services (an agency working largely with young people not in an educational setting). I am also an associate examiner for Edexcel A-level maths.

My availability is limited, but I will take provisional enquiries for September 2025 and I keep a waiting list in case time comes available mid-term (for example after GCSE and A-level exams).
