I have been working as a private tutor since 2010. I offer tuition in physics up to degree level, mathematics up to A-level and core science up to GCSE level.
I am happy to do tuition one-to-one or with small groups. I'm happy to do in person tuition or tuition via the Internet.
I successfully passed an assessment, which was conducted by Tutoring Standards.
I have experience teaching science at a school, key stages 3 & 4.

I have a degree in physics with astrophysics (upper second class) and a PhD in plasma physics.

With one-to-one tuition, my approach depends on the needs of the pupil. The vast majority of my clients have been students who are at school or college and preparing for GCSEs or A-levels. In early sessions, I would typically have them work on material related to what they have recently covered in class or work on topics that they have told me that struggle with. Once I know a student, I can choose exercises for them that would best help them.

Through my academic studies, I have a particularly strong understanding of astrophysics and plasma physics. I have also worked in industry In gas-sensing technology in superconducting magnets. This specialist knowledge can be useful sometimes.
