Our lessons can focus on exploring the texts you focus on in class, and helping students to grasp in their own time the concepts and techniques used. Alternatively, I will provide both short and longer texts to dive into together, focusing on elements of grammar and vocabulary.

Often times at higher levels of education the foundation of learning the language can be forgotten - at peril to students who just need a little more time, or a different approach, or a fresh start in the subject. I'm here to make people feel confident in their speech, reading, writing, understanding- we all deserve to use language as the great tool of expression that it should be. Once equipped, little is left but to immerse ourselves in the wonders of literature and see how such simple recipes for language manage to convey such powerful things.

For higher level students, I'll be happy to go through texts in the EdExcel and AQA GCSEs aswell as A Levels. Both students and parents can be assured we'll get to know the texts in an approachable and fun way. We can use a multitude of online and book tools to widen the knowledge and study critics/outside references. Our lessons can either be tailored to your needs specifically, supporting you where you want to build your strength, or push you into new and more complex territory of The English Language.

As with my previous students, I've worked with people of all different ages and stages of the skill. I recommend 2-3 hours of extra practice a week, which we can do meeting in person (eg. at a public space) or online.
