I teach Maths and Chemistry by focusing on the practical application of concepts through solving problems and working through questions. While I always start by discussing with students which topics they’d like to focus on, I also assess areas where they may need extra practice by reviewing past exam papers. This approach helps me pinpoint specific challenges and ensures that students get targeted support.

I believe that actively working through problems is far more effective than simply discussing theory—especially since schools often focus heavily on content delivery. As a tutor, my priority is not only to ensure students have a solid grasp of the underlying principles of each topic, but also to make sure they gain plenty of hands-on practice. This way, they feel confident and prepared, both in understanding the theory and applying it successfully in exams.
