My name is Washington, but you can call me Sensei, Professor, Mr. Washington or simply Thom. For over 20 years I have been teaching drawing and tutoring in various subjects in the regular school curriculum.

I always drew, and that caught the attention of my teachers. Encouraged by them, I challenged myself to teach, doing specific Manga workshops, even without being very resourceful at first, I gained confidence and developed my conversation techniques, in addition to always keeping myself updated by studying and consuming content related to my class topics. .

Together with a group of former students of mine, we developed and published an anthology of stories with a manga aesthetic called Mangá Pride, which I am proud of in this long journey as a teacher.

I work as a freelance illustrator and mangaka, I love to draw and through my work bring joy and new perspectives to people. There's nothing more amazing than seeing people gain confidence or discover skills they never even thought they had.

My work is based on the essence of things, I like to teach starting from understanding the needs and potential of each student or group of students, so it is possible to understand where each one has facilities and difficulties, thus creating a spreadsheet of classes and a schedule of course that can make the student feel comfortable and feel that he is really learning, after all, each one has a different learning process.

I work with examples, with references, drawing together with the students, showing everything that is necessary to reach the objectives according to each case.
