I have been a language volunteer at my school, learning from each other one-on-one with other students, and I received my Mandarin certificate so I could create a standard Chinese language environment.
I usually make some study cards in advance, as well as more interesting voiceover clips from movies and TV to guide basic spoken Chinese instruction, which is more suitable for students who are more interested in learning to speak Chinese quickly, because the Chinese grammar environment is more complex and I don't spend too much time on that.
If it is a 1 hour teaching, I will teach some basic words, form words after completion, and then have simulated situational conversations to learn oral expressions in a shorter period of time. If it is a 2 hours teaching, I will create more detailed and different contextual comparisons. I will create a PowerPoint and necessary clips or songs in a fun format to accompany the teaching.
