I'd give a lecture and then give practice questions and breakdown the techniques for people to follow. I've taught in my home country Malaysia before as a private tutor for my relative.

In my experience, for online lessons I can do that too using a drawing software like Microsoft Whiteboard to write down my steps on how to tackle math questions.
