I am currently a 2nd year Economics student at Queen Mary University of London. I have tutoring experience from secondary school and have been apart of a university buddying scheme. Usually my lessons included a run through of the topics in which the student needs help with, along with quizzes and exam practice to ensure the student grasps the content and can get practice on exam techniques. I take as much time as needed per topic and go through the students specification to ensure they have all the necessary information needed. This includes looking at different textbooks and worksheets. I have a friendly approach to make sure my students feel comfortable and confident to ask my any questions and if they need more time on certain topics. The most important thing is being confident in content knowledge and exam technique will improve as lessons continue.
