I am a First-Year Medical Student at the University of Manchester and IB Diploma Graduate in the Class of May 2024.

As a student of the PYP, MYP and then the IBDP, I have grown up learning through the IB philosophies and am well-adjusted to it. My drive and passion for my subjects, notably The Sciences, helped me achieve a perfect score of 45 in my IBDP examinations and propelled me to become a Medical Student in the UK.

Tutoring and teaching is a passion of mine. It has been a way I have revised, looked into and dived deeper into concepts myself but also been a way to give back to others and help people on their learning pathways. I served as a Peer Tutor in my school teaching both MYP French and IB HL Chemistry, with my students seeing considerable improvements in their performances. Near the IB exams, I also led a seminar on IB study techniques to the rest of the cohort.

I enjoy a more hands on approach to teaching, where my guidance would enable students to consolidate and reflect on their own knowledge to independently find the solution. I also enjoy a style of teaching where concepts are simplified and put into analogies or explained in the student’s own words. This promotes more conceptual understanding rather than factual cramming.
