My students are my priority. I like to listen to what my students feel are the best way to teach them to ensure the lesson is 100% effective. Generally, I like to keep my lessons interesting by introducing different revision methods, strategies, interactive learning i.e. using interactive whiteboard, games, question and answer session to test the student's understanding at the end of each lesson. At the start, I will sit down with the student and breakdown the topics which need to be covered, by when and the areas of strengths and weaknesses, which I will later use to create a plan for lessons. During lessons, students will refer to a word document I have prepared or write down notes as well as interactive learning. Before each lesson I will have specific learning objectives ready for the student. The lessons will aim to ensure the student has understood the learning objectives and is able to answer them themselves. This will be tested at the end of each lesson. Any difficulties in certain areas will be noted and I will go over the content again with the student. At the end of each topic, the student will complete a quiz which will test their knowledge and help me understand their progress so I can help them further. I have experience with students across all ages and I can adapt my teaching style to what best suits the student and their learning.
