Welcome to my profile! I am an Old Elizabethan on my gap year, which I am taking because I decided to pass on my offer for Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge and instead pursue medicine. I have now received an unconditional offer to read medicine at the University of Oxford and am now helping students on their academic journeys!

I have 2 years of experience in tutoring English for 11+ and have achieved 3 A*s in A-level Maths, Biology and Chemistry. I am also currently a part-time teaching assistant at Kumon, provide personal statement editing services as a freelancer and regularly work at NCS, so I know how to help students quickly develop confidence in their subject! High school is a really stressful time, so I always make sure to make the tutoring process clear for students and parents, which I find really helps take the pressure off. Maths and science can be really confusing — my job is to help you understand and start to enjoy them!

My classes are flexible and can be adapted according to the academic needs of the student, though I always emphasise building a robust conceptual foundation regardless of ability. On top of "normal" teaching, I can also offer support with homework, assignments, exam practice and university applications. Visual aids are powerful tools for learning and are a key part of my lessons – I have specialist experience as an educational YouTuber in how to produce and use Khan-Academy-style illustrations effectively. Most importantly, my teaching style ensures that students develop confidence in their subjects and the ability to tackle complex questions by drawing upon the foundation they have built.
