Vincent Finn

I am a qualified teacher ( Cert. Ed ( HE), PGCE ( HE), FHEA, and a qualified nurse ( RMN, RGN). I have much experience in teaching, learning and assessment in Human Biology (Anatomy and Physiology) and disease states and illness.

I have taught a range of under/postgraduate healthcare students at university level and Biology and Health and Social Care topics to secondary school students in Co Durham.

I use different teaching methods to match the learning styles of students e.g. one-to- one individual tutorials, online teaching and learning, teacher-led class teaching (pedagogy), student- centred learning (andragogy), and simulation/practical learning where appropriate.

I am fully aware of the different intellectual abilities that students possess and I teach them accordingly. I am fully aware of some of the learning difficulties that students possess and I adapt my teaching style to meet their learning needs.

Overall, I want each student to reach their full potential and to realise their ambitions and academic achievements.
