I am an upcoming second year biology student at Imperial College London. Whether you need help with molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, evolution, physiology or ecology, I want to improve your confidence in this subject. My students don't need to be aspiring biologists and I aim to help any GCSE or A level student, studying under any exam board in the UK. I aim to get to know my students and tailor my teaching methods to their preferred learning style. I want to create an open learning environment and make my sessions as interactive as possible.
Biology is mostly recall and I want to help my students revise effectively and efficiently. Every student is different and there is no one best learning or revision strategy. I aim to help my students find out what type of learner they are and how to make remembering various biological processes easier. My lesson structures will be different for every student. There are more ways than powerpoints and textbooks to learn!
I have observed during my university experience that I learn better from lecturers that are passionate about what they are teaching and are willing to repeat things a hundred times until everyone is on the same page. Therefore, I want to bring enthusiasm into the learning sessions and I aim to show my students that all these things we learn about are not just something we learn on paper but can be seen around us.
Currently, I am only based online, however from September I will also be based in-person in London.
