I teach History, Classical Civilisation, Latin, Politics and Ancient Greek and English up to GCSE.

My lessons focus on developing a good understanding of the content but, most importantly, how to use the content for assessment. I work to help student develop confidence in their ability as well as developing study strategies.

Lessons will include a variety of tasks and discussion as well as using Google Classroom for resources for them to access whether online or in person. I belive that no student wants to fail and that all students deserve the opportunity to work to their best and try to give them the support they need to achieve this.

I also have a teaching qualification in SEN and have a particular passion for supporting students with ADHD through A-Level learning and helping them develop skills to aid their progression to university or professional training.

Personality wise, I have taught many different kinds of students at different levels all the way through to Oxbridge candidates and return to education Adult learners. Whatever the level I am teaching I like to laugh and try to make lessons enjoyable alongside the content - life is difficult enough for a student and why not try to make life a little more enjoyable for them. Sessions are focused but look to support the whole student rather than academics alone. I have over 10 years experience as an A-Level tutor and understand the importance of seeing the whole student, not just the grades.
