My name is Sreevidhya Sk and I am a Psychological and Behavioural Sciences Graduate at the University of Cambridge. I am currently a research assistant and Behavioural coach at Overcome. I am interested in the role of Psychology tutor because I have tutored in the past and I enjoy working with adolescents to unlock their potential. I am confident that I have the core competencies in succeeding in this role.

As a psychology graduate at the University of Cambridge I have critically engaged with a range of key psychological topics including approaches to psychology, research methods, forensic, social and developmental psychology, to a highly academic level. I have also practised the ability. In addition to this, I achieved an A* at A-level (AQA Psychology) as well as an A in Psychology at A-level. I believe my experiences with Psychology as both a passion and an academic endeavour through a number of years equip me with a strong foundation of knowledge base to teach my students the appropriate information required.

I have also Tutored A-level psychology independently, to a number of students. These students have improved by up to three grade levels in their final exams compared to when they first approached me for tutoring. I utilised methods to engage such as creating PEEL worksheets for them, as well as inciting psychological debates between myself and my tutee to encourage them to think critically about research to meet the evaluation specification on their exams. Additionally, I made sure to have strong companionships with my students, where they knew they could ask me for help. I believe this made their commitment to improving their psychology grades increase massively. Apart from Psychology, I have also tutored Biology, Anti-racism, Consent, Debating and UCAS workshops, where I found my aforementioned teaching techniques successful.
