Victoria Fifield

I have been teaching Science for 17 years and specialise in Biology to A Level and Chemistry to AS level. I am currently Deputy Head of Science, in charge of KS4 in a secondary school in Kent. I use a variety of techniques within my teaching in order for all of my students to learn in the style they prefer. For example, this could be through animations, analogies to real life situations, card sorts, videos, using plasticine to model key concepts, particularly for KS5 topics such as respiration and photosynthesis. I am also an examiner for AQA GCSE Biology and Edexcel iGCSE Chemistry and am able to guide my students to the answers the examiners are looking for, using vital key terminology.

Prior to lockdown I was tutoring 3 students twice a week at my home; during lockdown this moved to online learning. Two of my students attained 2 9's and Biology and Chemistry and the other student, who was predicted grade 6, attained grade 7 in both. I am very flexible and will adapt to my students' needs.
