I have worked as an Economics and Business studies teacher around the world for over 20 years. I have taught Economics & Business in Kuwait, Shanghai, Bangkok and Cairo to name a few and have lived and worked for over 10 years in Central London. Passionate about my subject, my students have described my lessons as lively, challenging and fun with many students achieving at least two grades higher than their predicted grades. Through our work together, students have realised not only their passion for Economics and Business but also their confidence and ability in the subjects leading many of them going on to study Economics or Business based courses at university including the universities of Oxford, Cambridge, Yale and the renowned Chicago School of Economics. I have a BA, PGCE and Master’s degree in my subjects and have worked as a teacher, head of faculty and examiner for both Edexcel and AQA. As part of my work with exam boards I have marked A level papers, moderated draft exam papers and mark schemes and was part of the first wave of leveled marking introduced in 2015. I know all of the tips and tricks needed to reach the upper marking levels and am more than happy to share this knowledge with students. My advice? Don't leave getting a tutor until exam season, start early and build you confidence and skills as you go along. Economics is Brilliant, and if you fancy a free 1 hour lesson to get you started, drop me an email and let the games begin!
