Privet! I'm Vika, your Russian tutor. I'm here to help you learn this awesome language!

Back in school, I rocked Russian and literature, even took part in competitions and wrote for the school newspaper.

I went through a phase of not knowing what I wanted to be when I grew up. It wasn't until my maternity leave that I realized I wanted to draw and help people speak fluent Russian.

Recently, my family and I moved from Russia to the UK. Fun fact: I have Ukrainian roots, but my parents moved to Siberia in the 80s for work, and that's where I was born and raised.

I don't have official qualifications, but I have undertaken several courses in teaching Russian as a foreign language. This pursuit has captivated and inspired me for the past two years.

For almost three years I help students talk in Russian as easily as they do in their own language. The ability to maintain one's identity regardless of the language spoken is of profound importance.

Your narratives, hobbies, perspectives, and experiences intrigue me. I hold a deep admiration for people and their incredible diversity, as each individual is akin to a unique universe.

Having spontaneous chats about anything can be both easy and tough. My students say they like not needing to think about topics – I guide our talks by asking questions and sharing my own stories.

Usually, I don't give homework, but sometimes I might ask for extra examples using new phrases.

I'm flexible with how lessons go. So, if you want, we can chat first, then read, and tackle tricky grammar later.
