In my lessons, I strive to create an engaging and supportive learning environment where students can thrive. The format I use combines various teaching strategies to cater to diverse learning styles. I often begin with an interactive introduction to the topic, providing real world examples of fun anecdotes to pique students interest. We then delve into the core content through structured discussions, multimedia presentations, and hands on activities. I encourage students to ask questions, participate actively and apply critical thinking skills to solve problems.
One of my favourite teaching dynamics is fostering open communication and collaboration among students. I believe that peer to peer interactions can enhance learning outcomes and create a sense of community in the classroom. Group projects, debates and peer reviews are some of the techniques I use to promote teamwork and mutual support.
My teaching experience spans a wide range of subjects that include English, History, Pshe and Religious Education. I draw on these diverse backgrounds to create interdisciplinary connections and help students see the interconnectedness of various topics. By weaving together different disciplines, I aim to nurture a holistic understanding of the world and encourage students to think beyond traditional boundaries.
Overall, my lessons are dynamic, student centered, and are tailored to meet individual needs. I prioritise building a strong relationship with my students and understanding their strengths and challenges as well as providing personalised support to help them be able to reach their full potential. My motto is "Together, we will explore, learn and grow academically and personally.
