The purpose of my instruction is to differentiate the styles of transformational leadership, Situational leadership and Bureaucratic leadership. Furthermore, I will explore how transformational leadership is the most commonly used leadership in the 21st Century. According to Burns (1978), Transformational leadership is an approach that creates changes in the individual person and system in which they work in and are attempting to become leaders. This type of leadership style infuses valuable and positive changes in subordinates as well. Moreover, transformational leadership’s main premise is to develop subordinates into leaders. This type of leadership also enhances motivation, morale and performance.
