We will work through the areas of the English curriculum or exam syllabus that you would like to focus on. There will be lots of time to discuss your understanding of the subject and the weaknesses you think you need to work on and we will use a skills based approach to ensure that you know how to answer questions for either English Language or Literature to a high level - no more mystery around how to do well!

We will model loads of answers togethee to give you the framework to produce your own, and when you have we will look at your answers in detail to work out how we could potentially make them better.

If you have gaps in your knowledge, or have missed chunks of teaching, we will identify the areas to work on and ensure that your knowledge base gives you the absolute best chance to produce high quality work throughout your English course.

We will produce your notes together online and you can then screenshot and save them for revision later on, so you knowbthat them are of high quality and you can rely on them when it comes to exam time.

There will also be a rolling list of targets set throughout the sessions, so that you know what areas you need to target next - there is nothing that boosts your confidence more than seeing that you are achieving and mastering new skills consistently across the weeks. This could be skills for creative writing, analysing literature or accessing the meaning in previously unseen texts.
