Veronica Dufie Gyau Gyau

I attained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology Education from the University of Education, Winneba-Ghana. I taught learners in Pre-school and during my period of studies in the University, I got the chance to teach learners at Sunyani Senior High School. After attaining my degree, I taught primary school learners at South Ridge model school. These opportunities gave me the experience in teaching learners of different ages. I am a Children’s service teacher in the Children’s ministry of my Church and I love teaching because after my experiences over the years in teaching I have realized I was born to teach. I don’t just teach and leave my learners but I also build a good student-teacher relationship which gives my learners the chance to speak during my lessons and after my lessons to me. During my lessons, I use different methods of teaching (discussion, lecture, field trips etc.) depending on the topic under study and the ages of learners for better understanding. I also have a certificate in First Aid which helps when there is an emergency regarding to health in the classroom. I wanted to test my English Proficiency so I took the IELTS test which has also built my confidence in the use of the English language. I have also occupied positions in my Secondary and University level of my Education. This is a proof of my leadership qualities and shows I can be a good example to my learners. I hope to be considered to occupy this position as a teacher. Thank you.
