Former math teacher of 10 years who misses working with kids on improving their math. I really enjoy making math easy for young people especially the harder topics. I pride myself on being able to make my explanations tailored to the individual sitting in front of me. I have taught students ageing in range 11-65. Prior to teaching in schools, I tutored fellow university students up through Calculus 4. I taught students returning to school after break at a technical school in Chicago and then taught at a traditional state school on the south side of Chicago. After Chicago, I moved to Norway and began teaching the IBDP and IBMYP Mathematics. I then moved to London to teach IBDP Mathematics. Currently, I work as a database administrator for a school. Lessons can be online or in person. If online, we will use a video conferencing platform and an interactive whiteboard app on ipads/tablets. It is preferable to have the content before the lesson but also understand if we need to wing it from your lesson from the day. It's important to note that a single lesson cannot be the students only practice. It is absolutely necessary for the student to attempt the practice work outside of a single lesson with me in order to be successful.
