I teach yoga and meditation as well as coach from a grounded place of awareness. I believe we all have a calm centre from which our best selves can emerge, whether that be in life, school or work. When we are relaxed is when we perform the best. I use guided meditation techniques when teaching yoga and meditation, and also during my coaching sessions so that the client can access their inner voice and well-being. I specialize in Yin Yoga where gentle, restful poses are held for 3-5 minutes each, during which the body can relax into a parasympathetic state and the nervous system and regulate and calm down. I also teach Yoga Nidra, or Yogic Sleep, a great pause and reset for a busy work or school day, that refreshes the mind and body - 20 minutes of yoga nidra can equate to 3-4 hours of deep sleep. In my coaching sessions, I focus on self-awareness, overcoming limiting beliefs, breaking unhelpful thinking and behavioural patterns, and making positive changes through accessing the power of our own choice in our thoughts, words and actions. I believe it is not only our right but also our responsibility to choose, and the degree of freedom that lies in our present and future relies on the choices we make.
