I have always been a very visual and sensory learner. This has greatly informed how I showcase and teach Biology to my students.

The ability to learn is something that we need to teach the next generation of students, so that they can better understand and process the information they are receiving. Accordingly, I don't teach only for exam based success, but rather to cultivate a sense of curiosity and the appreciation of knowledge as a whole.

I generally like to structure my lessons as discussions and visually stimulating environmentsrathwr than just a lecture based method. I also like to connect with my students to better understand their interests and thus use examples and metaphors in the classroom, that they could better relate to.

I really welcome questions and appreciate my students have an inquisitive mindset! While some might think that doubts can derail the lesson, I encourage my students to ask even remotely subject-related questions to help them improve their understanding.

I do believe that teaching students more real world skills is necessary, so I like to use real world examples to help students contextualise the information.

All in all, I don't like to purely one way information driven classes, but rather an interactive discourse that leads to knowledge and real world life skill development.
