Having mentored several students (where most of them had an entirely different story), I have always felt that students (at least most of them) just remember whatever is being taught to them, either through teacher or by books, without actually thinking it through. This is why they lack an attitude of approaching any new topic with a "Why" and "How" perspective. Consequently, even the most exciting science becomes boring.
In my teaching session I have always tried to battle this issue only. Many students after completing an year or semester with me have found themselves capable of addressing even the most complex problems with much ease and that too quite effortlessly.
What is most important about my teaching is I don't try to rush upon a certain topic and mess things up. rather I take time to prepare you for your exams be it school based or competitive. Few of my students have also complemented me on helping them think intuitively and independently.
What sets me apart is the fact that I always make it a point to address the fundamentals first rather than diving straight into the complexities, and this is what makes science less daunting to my students.
Students are welcome to approach me with their problems (students aiming for a research based career and medical school especially encouraged)!
